There’s so much you could pull from different areas,” Srigley says. Same feel, that half-deep kind of slow head-banging vibe. The drops just felt like the breakdown of a hardcore song. “The first dubstep tracks that we really got into were these remixes of hardcore tracks. We actually end up writing a good portion of the song instrumentally before we end up laying it down in production,” explaining how the duo seamlessly meld musical genres. “When we’re writing a song, usually will either hop on guitar or piano and I’ll be on guitar myself. “We’ve built a really good working relationship together.” Srigley comments as the tour bus rumbles in the background, steadily making its way to the House of Blues in Florida. Ten years later the duo have perfected the integration between their many musical viewpoints. EDM was considered their side project until the duo realized producing dubstep tracks allowed them to mix genres more creatively.

Their story is a common one: Srigley began recording songs at the age of 13, he met James in high school and they became a hardcore pop-punk band. It’s 2013 now, and the boys are on their own massive North American tour titled “Superheroes Anonymous”, with approximately 40 stops throughout the U.S. "MakeDamnSure," a 2019 collaboration with Modern Machines and Saint Slumber, was followed a few months later by "Next Life" with Crankdat and Krewella.Montreal’s Adventure Club, Leighton James and Christian Srigley, have rocketed into the EDM scene, launching from the initial hype ignited by their 2011 remix of “Daisy”, a haunting little remix of alternative band Brand New’s track. Though most active with their own material, they still occasionally remixed other artists like Kehlani and Virtual Self over the next few years. Their full-length debut, Red//Blue, arrived in late 2016 and included appearances by Delaney Jane, DJ DallasK, and the electro-pop duo Sondar. The song "Wonder" featured the latter and hit Canada's Top 40. That same year they dropped their debut EP, Calling All Heroes, featuring guest spots from vocalist Yuna and EDM producer the Kite String Tangle.
